Harvest8 Sports Group Inc, Also Known as Kingdom Soccer Project had the opportunity to provide two schools in Kenya with sports equipment, training, and curriculum.
Our Local Non Profit Organization partnered with One Child Matters, CrossRoads Fellowship Church, JC Sports Atascocita, Bownet Sports and several local Business and families in order to raise the needed funds to make this project a reality.
Kingdom Soccer Project has been working hard to make this endeavor a reality. In June they were able to send two Coaches to villages in Kajiado, Kenya to donate the soccer equipment and train the staff of 12 teachers.
Jennifer and Cesar Coronel, Directors for Kingdom Soccer Project shared with us that "we love to challenge our community and see what we are able to accomplish when we partnered together. Last Year, we were able to bless a school in the mountains of Haiti and as a result the school was able to create a full time PE position for a teacher."
This Year, our goal was to do the same for two schools in Kenya and we were beyond blessed to be able to do so.
One of the challenges we faced was fundraising, the total cost for equipment and the trip was well over $12,000. We did not know if we were going to be able to fundraise such a large amount.
The amazing thing was to see a lot of our local families and businesses donating to our cause. One week, before our trip we had achieved our goal.
Harvest8 Sports Group Inc and JC Sports are well known in our community for their philanthropic work. Last year they donated over $10,000 in Sports Equipment to Humble ISD Title One schools in partnership with the Houston Dynamo and the BBVA Compass.
We are proud of our giving and our community support- Jennifer and Cesar Coronel-shared with us- We truly believe that we are called to help our community and our brothers and sisters in need and it is an honor to serve them.
